This pages purpose is to use mathmatics and physics to attempt to explain how a wiffleball work. ie. What makes it curve. Many approximations and assumptions are made to estimate results. The keyword is estimate.

While I could go into extremely boring detail, the main purpose of this page is to give you an idea of why it works, as well as to discover new pitches.

I have also added a few examples of pitches that I have analyzed using numbers. The last 3 example follow up on assumptions made in the slider example.

Remember, there are no text books on the physics of wiffleball. So I am learning as I go. Any, help would be greatly appreciated.

Any questions or comments feel free to e-mail me.
